Alfa Romeo 6C Jankovitz 1955 Red by Tron-Club
It was quite a surprise to discover that
we saw the original version of this
remarkable vehicle in FSW 10/2007,
it seems like it was just a few weeks
ago. The other model is of the restored
car as seen in the past few years at
various classic car shows but when
the car was unearthed in a barn in the early 1990s it was red and here we see
a very well finished miniature in bright Rosso Corsa. The original car was midengined
and is rumoured to be the inspiration for Alfa’s 512 GP car, the Jankovitz
brothers who built this car were apparently well connected with the Alfa Romeo
management. How true this is is unclear, but it’s a great looking subject and has
been nicely modelled.
